Professor extols virtues of Latin

Professor of classical studies John Gruber wrote a letter to the editor published in The (Cedar Rapids) Gazette on Dec. 17 about the advantages students gain when they study Latin.“It is no surprise that Latin students consistently outperform all other students on the verbal portion of the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT),” he wrote.
