Alum appointed Human Rights Director

Isaiah McGee ’01 has been named director of the Iowa Department of Human Rights by Gov.-elect Terry Branstad.

McGee, 31, who’s served as a city councilman in Waukee, where he lives, has also served on Iowa Advisory Committee of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, the Generation Iowa Commission, and the Iowa Indigent Defense Commission, according to a Des Moines Register item about his appointment.
