The college’s presidential search firm, Witt/Kieffer, reports that response to the opportunity has been strong and that they have been receiving applications steadily over the past several weeks. Their proactive recruitment efforts are proceeding at an aggressive pace, and they report that the early responses to their outreach encourage them to be confident that the candidate pool will be robust.
In response to a faculty request for greater involvement in the presidential search through the faculty search committee, the Board of Trustees has determined that all five faculty members of the faculty search committee will review applications to determine semi-finalists and will interview the finalists. Two members, professors Phil Lucas and Cindy Strong, will interview semi-finalists, and all five will interview the finalists.
The Trustee Presidential Search Committee, along with the five faculty members, plans to meet again in August.
