Visiting poet Angie Estes

Award-winning poet Angie Estes will read from and discuss her work, inspired by Dante and the medieval arts. She will appear on Thursday, April 8th at 4:30 p.m. in the second floor of Cole Library.

Estes is the author of four books of poetry, most recently “Tryst” (2009) and “Chez Nous” (2005). Her many awards include a Pushcart Prize and the Cecil Hemley Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, as well as fellowships, grants, and residencies from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, etc. Estes’ visit is sponsored by the Department of English and LACE.
