Performance highlights Women’s History Month
The Office of Intercultural Life and Sister 4 Sister are co-sponsoring a performance of “Life, Love and Redemption” on March 18 as part of Women’s History Month.
The show focuses on Carolyn Bowers, an accomplished artist and activist. When Carolyn dreams, her book of poetry wakes up and comes to life. The show’s 15 vignettes address social, cultural, political and romantic issues.
The show was created from a collection of poetry written over seven years by actress, playwright and director Setor Attipoe. This inspirational show boasts an ensemble cast from five countries and four ethnic groups. Together they tell poignant stories of humanity. Everyone is represented. Everyone counts.
The performance will be at 7 p.m. on March 18 in the Ringer Recital Hall.
