Media Board has chosen five students to lead Cornell’s 2009-10 student media, based on applications, references, and interviews. Sophomore politics and sociology major George Ellerbach was hired as editor-in-chief of
The Cornellian. The independent student newspaper is published biweekly and is advised by librarian Mary Iber.
Junior political thought major Matthew Shimanovsky will be
KRNL’s general manager, and history and psychology major Ryan Fincham will return as station manager. The station’s advisor is Matt Zhorne.
Sophomore geology major and Spanish minor Natashia Pierce will become
Royal Purple editor. Jennifer Rouse is the yearbook advisor.
Junior economics and business major Dane Korthauer returns as business manager for both
The Cornellian and
Royal Purple.
Media Board meets at least monthly to monitor, guide and advise the student media heads.
