MOUNT VERNON — Cornell College organist Robert Triplett will perform his final concert — works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Marcel Dupré in a program titled “Form and Fantasy” — at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, in King Chapel. Admission is free.

Triplett, Cornell’s distinguished artist-in-residence and a visiting professor of music at the University of Iowa, will retire in June. He came to Cornell in 1964. He recently retired after 14 years as director of music at Trinity Episcopal Church in Iowa City. His program at Cornell features two pieces by Bach, Prelude and Fugue in E-flat Major and Prelude and Fugue in D Major, along with Dupré’s Three Preludes and Fugues for Organ, Op. 7. Dupré performed at Cornell in 1937.

Triplett has appeared throughout the United States as a recitalist, performing at the National Convention of the American Guild of Organists and as soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. The author of “Stagefright: Letting It Work for You,” he also gives clinics on stage fright across the country to actors, teachers, musicians, ministers, athletes, business professionals, doctors and civic leaders.
