Cornell College’s annual holiday concert, with the theme “Make a Joyful Noise,” is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, in King Chapel. Admission is free.

The concert, a collaboration between college and community musicians, will feature the Cornell Concert Choir, College Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Mount Vernon Community Choir, all under the direction of Lisa Hearne; the Cornell Chamber Orchestra directed by Martin Hearne; and the Old Capitol Brass Ensemble based in Iowa City.

The program includes “Te Deum” by Franz Josef Haydn, “Make a Joyful Noise” by 20th century British composer Edward Gregson, “Magnificat” by contemporary Estonian composer Arvo Part and works by Bach, Mozart, Benjamin Britten and Anton Bruckner.
Immediately following the concert will be a public reception at Bowman-Carter Hall.
