Richard Martin – Life after Cornell

Rich Martin lives in Mount Vernon with his wife, the children’s author Jacqueline Martin, and plays jazz vibraphone professionally in the Eddie Piccard Quartet. He reports that retirement may have brought many organizational changes into his life, but in the most critical respect, it brought no change at all.  “While at Cornell, I taught literature. Now I play in a jazz combo. Now, as then, I love what I am doing, and I have the chance to share with others something very important to me,” he says.
