A Cornell College mock trial squad went to the national championship tournament for the fourth consecutive year.

Team 1103 fought to a record of 5-3 at the Opening Round Championship Series tournament March 20-22, and earned a bid to the American Mock Trial Association National Championship Tournament, which was held in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 17-19.

Several Cornellians received individual awards at the March tournament. Kahn Branch ’16 was recognized as an outstanding witness and Nora McKenzie ’16 was named an outstanding attorney. Maria Goodfellow ’17 was recognized as both an outstanding witness and an outstanding attorney.

2014-15 was the program’s ninth year, and the sixth time it earned a spot in the National Championship Tournament. The program had another strong year, with first-place finishes at tournaments at Xavier University, Illinois State University, and the University of Iowa, second and third-place finishes at Stanford University, and numerous individual awards throughout the season.
