Cornell College launches redesigned website

Cornell College has launched a completely redesigned, mobile-friendly website designed to better serve the needs of prospective students.

The redesign, which took more than a year, was driven by the fact that an increasing number of teenagers interested in colleges are visiting websites on smartphones and other mobile devices.

“The majority of our prospective students are looking at the Cornell College website on smartphones or tablets,” said Colleen Murphy, vice president for enrollment and dean of admission. “We want to make sure they have the best possible experience and find information that will help guide their decision.”

One of the most obvious changes is to the college’s homepage, which now offers more information about Cornell College’s distinctive One Course At A Time curriculum, prominent links to help prospective students find more information about the college, and a feed from Cornell’s Instagram account. The new look and feel goes throughout the site, and includes new or revamped informational pages about One Course At A Time, including testimonials from alumni and faculty and an interactive tool to help acquaint prospective students about the unique One Course At A Time curriculum.

“The redesign is part of our ongoing efforts to offer prospective students an engaging, enriching experience and to help inform them about the life-changing education Cornell offers,” Murphy said.

In addition to the new features, the redesign also covers the entire Cornell College site, including academic departments and more, nearly 3,500 pages in all..
