Inga Jaeger ’13 submitted the final paper she wrote for an advanced critical writing course to The Dialectics: Journal of Leadership, Politics, and Society. Her paper, “Industrial Agriculture and Sustainable Solutions,” has been accepted for publication in this prestigious journal.
In her paper, Jaeger describes how industrial agriculture undermines human and environmental well-being by adhering to the principles of maximized efficiency and productivity. She concludes by examining how some sustainable forms of agriculture may address the problems posed by industrial agriculture.
The Dialectics is a multidisciplinary electronic publication housed at the Abington College of the Pennsylvania State University. The journal’s aim is to promote discourse and scholarship and to encourage students to pursue and engage in thoughtful discourses on topics of societal importance.
