Student wins second place in ACM photo contest

Setsen Altan-Ochir, a sophomore at Cornell College, won second place in the Associated Colleges of the Midwest Off-Campus Study Photo Contest.

Setsen Altan-Ochir’s photo of a bin of dolls in Tokyo won second place the in Stories category of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest’s off-campus studies photo program.

Altan-Ochir’s photo, which is featured on the ACM’s photo contest site, shows a bin of dolls similar to one she was given as a child. In her description, she wrote that the eyes of the doll brought her back to her childhood, and that she’d been searching for the doll for years to no avail.
