Feser Awarded Undergraduate Research Grant
May 26, 2009MOUNT VERNON – Kelsey Feser, a junior Geology major has been awarded an Undergraduate Research Grant from the North Central section of the Geological Society of America.
Feser will spend two weeks on San Salvador Island, Bahamas working with Professor of Geology Ben Greenstein. Her research investigates the impact of the development of a Club Med on shallow marine mollusk communities.
“I am honored to have received a grant from the North Central Section of the Geological Society of America,” said Feser. “I am really looking forward to this project and its results and am excited that GSA is helping to support this research.”
The grant will help support Feser’s fieldwork this summer as part of research towards an honors thesis in the geology department.
