Wilch earns Forty Under 40 honor
MOUNT VERNON – Peter Wilch, Cornell College vice president for alumni and college advancement, was named by the Corridor Business Journal of Iowa City/Cedar Rapids as a Forty Under 40 Award honoree for 2007.
The awards are given annually to recognize and thank leaders under the age of 40 who have made a significant impact in their business or community or both early in their careers.
Wilch, a 1994 Cornell graduate, became Cornell’s vice president for alumni and college advancement in September 2006. Prior to that he was the chief development officer for the Iowa Law School Foundation at the University of Iowa. He also has worked in development at Grinnell College.
He is a trustee for the Mount Vernon Community School Foundation, a youth coach for basketball teams in Mount Vernon and serves St. John’s Catholic Church as a cantor and as a member of the building committee.
